Programs for the exchange of medical students

Today, the exchange of students abroad is an excellent chance to adapt to the requirements of the European labor market, to master the missing practical skills that are not always available in domestic universities, to gain experience in a multicultural environment. This fully applies to the health sector. Therefore, exchange programs for medical students are constantly expanding, gaining momentum, and more and more people are being attracted to participate in them.

Exchange students abroad

The exchange of students abroad of medical universities involves visiting Polish medical institutions corresponding to the preparation of the student’s profile, being present during diagnostic and medical procedures, planned and urgent operations (for surgeons), mastering the manipulation of medical equipment according to the specialty of a medical student, studying paperwork and European reporting , adopted in medical institutions in Europe. Exchange programs and internships abroad for students include intensive language training, mastering the Polish language, including medical terminology. It is possible to organize summer practice in Polish medical institutions under the International Internships program, which will be credited at a Ukrainian medical educational institution.

For students of medical colleges within the framework of the “Double Degree” project, it is additionally offered the opportunity to receive a Polish diploma with the mark “Europass”. This gives future advantages in employment in medical institutions of the European Union, obtaining a work permit and a residence permit. More than two dozen Ukrainian medical schools have already joined this project. All students participating in the programs of the Euromed Foundation are guaranteed organizational and other support, assistance from the project curator upon arrival.
