On 23 February, the staff of the European Foundation for the Development of Medicine and Education EUROMED took part in an expert seminar organized by the Institute for Social Research (Instytut Spraw Publicznych). Poland, like other countries in the region, is gradually becoming more and more attractive for immigration of medical staff from non-EU countries in the fight against local labor shortages and the emigration of doctors.
The seminar was held to present and discuss the results of the Institute’s research on the migration of qualified Ukrainian and Polish medical personnel to Poland and Germany. In addition, current trends in the mobility of health workers and policies on this type of migration were discussed during the seminar.
