From February 18th until March 2nd the 90-hour course of polish medical language ‘Warsaw module’ was held for medical doctors and paramedics.
Within the framework of the module students had an opportunity to improve both written and oral language skills. During skill building sessions certain medical cases were examined and therefore specially trained actors had been invited, who played parts of patients.
The participants visited one of Polish hospitals – Prof. Jan Bogdanowicz Children’s Hospital of Warsaw during the course: departments of surgery, pediatric, allergic as well as surgery block. Students stressed on the high level of care for patients and the overall organization of work in the hospital.
The Director of Prof. Jan Bogdanowicz Children’s Hospital Mrs. Małgorzata Stachurska-Turos indicated that already was the 4th group of young Ukrainian doctors she welcomed and that she was very happy of that. ‘It’s so important to host guests from our neighboring countries and to share the experience, methodology and approaches to various medicine issues and standard operating procedures’, – the Director said.
At the meeting in hospital different subjects were discussed, including the post-graduate practice in Poland and its differences from the Ukrainian.
The participants passed the internal final exam at the end of the course and they are currently working on mistakes and training for NIL exam (at Supreme Medical Council).
This is the first essential stage on the way to obtain the right for medical practice in the EU (Poland).
