A new supply of humanitarian aid is ready to be shipped to Zaporizhzhia occupied region, hardly possible without prior experience of food and medicine delivery to the community of occupied city of Tokmak.
Many volunteers, foundations and public organizations are involved, coordinated by the HELP UKRAINE! Project by EUROMED.
“Over the 5 months of the project’s implementation, we have gained experience not only in procurement, handling the aid, seeking best logistic, reaching out competent volunteers in Ukraine, but also in delivering humanitarian aid to those in need living in the occupied area”, said the head of the HELP UKRAINE! Project – Serhii Ostrovskyi.
Products, hygiene items, medicines and other necessities procured at the expense of the European Foundation for the Development of Medicine and Education “EUROMED”. The volunteer drivers at the Believe In Ukraine Foundation by Yurii Hupalo, carried out the delivery to Zaporizhzhia from the Polish-Ukrainian border. The most dangerous part of the raid was the one to the occupied area, which the volunteers at the YES organization took under their responsibility. The Head of the Organization is Askad Ashurbekov, the deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council. All of them are Tokmak residents knowing in detail the needs of their community.
Recently, the YES Foundation volunteers successfully delivered the humanitarian aid procured by HELP UKRAINE! Project to the occupied Tokmak, putting their lives at risk. They have indeed persevered. However, they are ready for one more dangerous raid again aiming to help people in the occupation. We wish them to complete the good deed successfully and come back safe.
