The Centre was created by the decree of the Ministry of Public Health of Poland in 1996.
The Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing is a leading research and development centre in Europe (category A+) and a single-specialty clinic, providing comprehensive help to the people with hearing, voice, speech and breath impairments. The activity of this Institute is observed and researched by other public and governmental organizations and private individuals.
The Institute has significant experience in delivering medical services. 15000 to 21000 surgical manipulations a year have been carried out in the World Hearing Centre for more than 13 years.
About 60 to 70 hearing improvement operations are performed here every day. It should be pointed out that the specialists of this institution have installed more than 5000 implants which have played a huge role in improving the patients’ health conditions and quality of life.
