Polish medical language classes for doctors It was at the end of hot June. Classes were held in the spacious premises of the “Ukrainian House”,
ul. Zamenhofa 1, from 10:00 to 18:00 with an hour break for lunch. What we did:
- They tried to communicate with each other in Polish.
- We read, translated and discussed professional texts. For example, examination protocols or clinical cases.
- The doctor-patient dialogues were practiced. Among themselves and with the carriers, the teacher.
- They wrote dictations. I think that this is a very important thing. Because you can’t write dictation for yourself, but you need it for the language exam!
- Watched and worked with video recordings.
- Grammar was taught along the way.
- In the end, they conducted something similar to the language exam that is given in the Main Medical Ward.
Everyone was very satisfied with the teacher. Probably, thanks to his education and knack for teaching. The program was quite intense, so by the end of the working day I was already quite tired.
Cultural program In addition to the actual classes, a certain cultural program was planned. Two wonderful city tours thanks to Ms. Natalia. This is an incredible tour guide. Everyone likes her very much. At the request of the listeners, the tour can be conducted in Polish, Ukrainian, or Russian.
A trip to the hospital There was also a tour of the hospital. Hospital is an understatement. They visited the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Medical School At the end of the Warsaw course, we visited a medical school. Here you can get various paramedical professions in order to have a job during nostrification, and in general it is a good way to adapt in the country. The “Euromed” Foundation offers to organize part-time modular training for those who live in Ukraine. I myself am currently studying this way and can tell much more about the school. But this is a completely different story. Who is interested – contact. Overall, the impression of the course is definitely positive. Moreover, I have something to compare with. I also mean the knowledge that was given to me and communication with colleagues, which will continue and bear fruit.
